interesting quotes

Hello!! I had a good rest last night, slept after watching the sea games on tv.Yup, wake up & have this 'i dont feel like packing' feeling. But looking at the calendar, its really time for me to pack if not tmr i would be a ganjiong spider and i dont like to be one.

This is my very 1st time packing stuff into a ziplock bag & squeezing the air out for a trip .Haha, i know i sound err...abit sua ku.. but all along i packed things in plastic bags la.. & i learnt how to pack from others when i saw them rolling up their clothes to save space.I am amazed by the space i saved after i packed part 1 of my stuff. Part 2 will leave it to tmr.

Anyway, i was reading a blog & was inspired to find the quote (which i like very much) when i watched "the pursuit of happiness" few months back in March. Here it goes,

Christopher Gardner: Don't ever let someone tell you, you can't do something. Not even me. You got a dream, you got to protect it. People can’t do something themselves, they want to tell you you can’t do it. You want something, go get it. Period. All right?
Christopher: All right.

How is it? Inspiring? Often, we are put down by others unknowingly. They tell you the task is difficult & few people managed to do it, so in your head, its either you tell yourself its difficult, i am not going to succeed or you 're going to prove them wrong.

Sad to say, most of us will turn to the former as it requires lesser effort, bcos your not going to succeed, you are unsure of your ability & the majority cant do it,so its ok for you to follow the norm (w/o you knowing) you put in lesser effort which contributes to the failure.Self-prophesize.

there is another quote which is light-hearted. :)

Christopher: Knock knock.
Christopher Gardner: Who's there?
Christopher: Shelby.
Christopher Gardner: Shelby who?
Christopher: Shelby comin' round the mountain when she comes, Shelby comin' round the mountain when she comes!
Christopher Gardner: Hey, that's good.
Christopher: Knock knock.
Christopher Gardner: Who's there?
Christopher: Nobody.
Christopher Gardner: Nobody who?
(Christopher doesn't respond)
Christopher Gardner: Nobody who?
(Christopher still doesn't respond)
Christopher Gardner: A-ha-ha, that's a good one, I like that!

I've learnt something ydae too. How do you spell LOVE? L-O-V-E? Wrong!! Its spelt T-I-M-E. Does it make sense? What is LOVE to you?

.... i love you.....because......

your the most beautiful/handsome person in my eyes
your so sweet to me
your so attentive to my needs

OR

..... i love you ..... in spite of .....
you forgetting my birthday
you throwing tantrums @ me
you getting out of shape

Which do you pick? Former or latter?Do you realised that one is conditional & the other unconditional?

Another story to share.

There 's this man who was hungry in the afternoon & was trying to make some toast for himself. Being a loving husband, he asked his wife if she wanted one too. The wife was happy that her husband remembers her.

The man made the toast & brought it to her. Upon looking at the toast, the woman started to weep. The man was shocked as both their toasts are the same, so what's the problem ?

The woman said " honey, no one eats the bread ends (a bread loaves has 2 bread ends)" In her family, the bread ends were not eaten.

The man said " In my family, all of my siblings love the bread ends, & there's only 2. We have to fight for it"

In this story, the man gave up the things he liked best (the bread ends) to his wife and his wife was sad as she dont eat bread ends & think that everyone's the same. So remember to communicate often if not there is a high chance of misunderstanding...

Ok la, quite a long post. Shall stop here. Might be blogging again tmr..in the meanwhile... do take care..
