very random
this morning the agent called ... wasnt shortlisted again..sigh.. feeling quite demoralized actually...sounds like i wasnt up to the expectations for the companies.. the agent recommended another @ a Japanese MNC but i turned down the offer.. i just have the sudden feeling of not wanting to go for interviews till next week...besides, i have yet to get a new pair of shoes..
Lately..i have been tinking ..am i giving my parents the impression that i cant support them in the future since im like getting nowhere again...they didnt rush me into finding a job... hmmm...it doesnt feels so right that im staying home & typing my blog @ this minute...utilizing the electricity... & have them still supporting me...
on the brighter side.. although i am un-employed @ this moment.. i have been spending my time reading up on the "expired" Biz Times i have at home..& also playing the "Stock Whiz" game by SGX ... u guys might want to check it out... http://www.stockwhiz.sgx.com/bin/home.asp
these 2 days while "trading" ... i finally got the feel that investing is really not like you select 1 stock & you jump in ...praying hard that the price will keep rising and not fall ... besides i find it really hard to stray away from the "trend" .. for instance..if the papers focus more on a certain sector for eg. semi-conductors.. i would feel the urge to buy into that .. .although in some books..they advised not to follow the trend blindly la ..haha..now i noe why its difficult..
Hmm..yup..besides that..you have to read up more & understand the companies you want to invest on.. this part is abit tedious.. guess it takes alittle more than discipline to do so.. discipline aside..you still need the analytical skill to analyse the financial statements & their future plans..this part isnt easy because i dont really understand how some figures in the F/S are affected..and by what sort of factors... what i have now is very basic.. anyway..the game is kindof addictive..haha..perhaps its my first time "trading" & i keep going to the web to look at the prices .. when it rises..i feel happy...but the rising of price is kindof slow..like few cents..hardly hit 10 cents...
am glad that they have this trading game now la.. you can read up news & than trade according to your understanding ...its virtual ...so you can have a hang of what's trading like before pumping in real monies .... the challenge will end by 20th Oct..so there's still time to play the game! =)
Last but not least... i am finally 20 years old today... Happy Birthday to me!!!!!
