improve your life today - frm SimplyHer mag
today's an off day ...but have to return for re-training @ the cafe @ 7pm...quite sian actually... anyway ..its only a few hours...so ya...watched "southpark" on youtube ...quite a funny cartoon...its my 1st time watching this cartoon...yup...decided to share some steps with u peeps,although there's 60 steps! ...taken from SimplyHer magazine (Jan06)
1) spend an hour a week doing one thing you really like - whether it's reading a book or listening to a cd
4) listen to your body. If you're tired.Rest. Dont go into the overdrive
5) ask yourself what you want, then work towards achieving it so you can be proud of that one achievement
6) if you need help,dont be afraid to ask for it, whether from family,a friend or a professional counsellor.sharing your problem makes it alot easier to handle
7) stop procrastinating.every minute you waste, you will likely have to work doubly hard to make up for it
8) make new friends.each new person you meet might influence your life in a way you never know
10) learn to say sorry.if that is the hardest word to mouth,start learning to do because this is the one word that can mend broken relationships or save one
11) say to your mirror,"i love you,i approve of you,your great!" self approval is the first step to being ultimately happy
13) set up a saving a/c with no ATM card. this will reduce the temptation to draw from it
14) make a note of your daily expenses so you know where your money goes
17) keep your credit cards at home when you shop and just bring along cash to avoid over-spending
19) avoid shopping during sales. things are cheaper but you might just end up buying something you will never use
25) just do it. a positive attitude gets work done faster
31) make a note of your weekly targets and set realistic timelines to achieve them
42) communicate with mum or dad no matter how busy you are with work
51) call up a friend that you've not seen for the longest time
52) let go of a long-time grudge.letting go is liberating
53) be on time for appointments.it shows respect
57) take part in an activity with your buddies.you'll spend more time with them while learning
60) if a toxic friend makes you feel under-esteemed,maybe its high time you said goodbye
